Celebrate Pride with PFLAG!

Posted on

Thinking that another June will go by without PFLAG marching down Fourth Avenue in downtown Seattle to loudly and proudly show our love and support for the LGBTQ+ community is disappointing, but we get it. We need to make sure we—and you—stay healthy so we can have a Pride Parade and PrideFest celebration next year. We can’t wait until 2022!

But even with some COVID restrictions in place, we came up with a couple things we can do to safely show our pride, and we hope you will join us.

  • SHOW YOUR TRUE COLORS! Do you like to color? We do! We have coloring sheets like the ones below that you can download from our website. Color one, or many, and hang in a window to show your pride to your neighbors. Then snap a pic of it and post it on our Facebook page or Instagram so we can celebrate with you!
  • PRIDE WALK AROUND GREEN LAKE. It’s safe to be together outdoors, so let’s do our own mini Pride Parade on Sunday, June 27, around the park! The walk will begin at 11 AM. Meet us outside the Green Lake Community Center/Pool and wear your purple “We Are Family” PFLAG T-shirt, or anything purple. Have a sign? Bring it! Don’t forget your mask, sunscreen and water. Need more info or have questions? Email us at info@pflagseattle.org.

Update: The Pride Walk has been postponed due to the extreme heat conditions forecasted for the weekend. We’ll share updated information via our website, social media, and by email when a new date has been confirmed.

  • WEAR YOUR PRIDE! Dig out your favorite Pride shirt, swag and accessories and come to a support meeting wearing whatever makes you proud and happy! Let’s celebrate in style!
