PFLAG Updates

Seattle Pride 2014

It is that time again for the Seattle Pride Parade and PFLAG is excited to be part of the parade. We hope to see lots of you who will want to march with us. Everyone is welcome in our contingent and we have all kinds of things that you can do. If you just want to march (i.e. walk) with us that is fine, but we have signs to carry, stickers to hand out and smiles and hugs to share. This is an incredibly fun experience to be a part of and PFLAG gets a lot of love from the crowd. Here are some of the details about where to find us on Sunday morning.

1. When – Arrive between 9:20 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. on Sunday morning.
2. Where – We will be in position 22 between University and Seneca streets on 4th avenue. If you want to use your GPS to try and find our general area, type in the “Purple Café” in downtown Seattle and it will get you to the right block. We will be somewhere on that street, just look for our purple shirts.
3. Who – When you arrive, ask for Humberto Romero and he will help you get situated.
4. What – We would love to have you wear your purple PFLAG shirts for the parade. If you don’t have one already, you can wear any purple t-shirt or get one from us for a suggested donation of $15. IF you have a sign that you would like to carry, please bring it and we have rarely ever said “no” to a sign. We encourage signs from other chapters that tells about their location.

Our theme this year is “PFLAG is_____” and we have a series of 4 large signs that lets the spectators know that PFLAG is for everyone and we welcome everybody to support meetings and the organization.

We are really excited to have you join us this year.

PFLAG hugs,
Humberto Romero
