March 31 is International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV), a day dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and victories of transgender and gender-expansive people, while simultaneously raising awareness of the work that is still needed to combat discrimination and violence.

Join us at our March 23 support meeting from 7 to 9 pm as we recognize TDOV with a screening and discussion of the short film “Becoming Johanna.” The film is a compelling story that follows the struggles transgender teens face every day. In the end, Johanna refuses to let her mother’s rejection define her life. She finds a foster family who loves her and a supportive school principal who helps her graduate and thrive.

PFLAG National will also be screening the film and having a live Q&A on YouTube and Facebook on March 30 at 5:30 pm PDT. The film’s creative team and the star, Johanna Clearwater, will attend. Learn more.
